You’ve learned how to turn. Now how do we continue improving?

All riders are not equal — look at the metrics below for areas to improve.

Level 1 Metrics:

  1. Centered & Mobile position:
  • Weight centered over feet equally
  • Maintains rotational alignment
  • Uniform flexion in joints

2. Turning with the lower body:

  • Uses hips and knees to turn the snowboard
  • Uses rotational movements( vs. counter-rotation)
  • Turns show round shape and symmetry

3. Balance over the working edge

  • Balances inclination with angulation
  • Demonstrates edge grip
